Praying for protection without denying danger
Scripture
Translation: KJVPsalms 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Proverbs 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
Reflection
The Psalms speak of shelter while recognizing trouble. Protection is prayed for in dependence on God, not denial of real risk.
Prayer
Lord, be our shelter. Protect us where we are vulnerable and guide us toward safety.
Pause and consider
Name one real safety concern and one practical step that reduces it today.
Care and safety
If you are not safe now
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. A prayer page is not the fastest path to physical safety.
