When anxiety will not quiet down

Scripture

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Matthew 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Translation: KJV

Reflection

Scripture does not pretend the concern is small. It invites prayer with thanksgiving and points to a peace that guards the heart while the day is still unresolved.

Prayer

Lord, I bring this anxious thought to you and ask for your steady peace.

Pause and consider

Name one worry aloud, read Philippians 4:6-7 slowly, then write one honest sentence to God.
